We know by now that Bowser is trying to marry Peach in this game right? There are going to be a new line of amiibo for this game specifically. These amiibo are Bowser in his wedding attire, Peach in a wedding gown and Mario in wedding attire. But why Mario in wedding attire? He is trying to stop the wedding not be Bowsers best man. So what if Mario and Peach are getting married after Mario beats Bowser. It would make sense to make an amiibo of Mario wearing the clothing but there's more. The developers of the game said that how the amiibos are posed have something to do with the story. Mario is posed in a way as if he is taking someone's hand
